Online Final Edit Here is the final cut and online edit of Friday the 14th, the runtime is about 3:49. In the image provided, you can see how the end credits scene has been arranged by utilising the position and scale controls. This was to make the blooper clips play separately in a smaller window, with the actor's names showing on the left. You can also see how the graphics and segments have been labelled by using the text tool in Premiere Pro. Below, you can see a closer look at how the timeline has been organised and constructed. You can also see the small beige boxes that represent the transitions within the video. These transitions have been spaced to create a smooth fade to black effect. Above, you'll also see the process of creating the title sequence, using keyframes to make the title gradually enlarge, positioned in the centre of the screen. This zoom effect was perfect for the cheesy tone we aimed for in the film. In the image above, there is a much closer look at one...

Codes and Conventions I studied 3 different short films, About a Girl, Finley, and Tunnel. The films are in different styles however they influenced our short film, especially Finley. These helped us in choosing what kind of cinematography to use, and with our short film following the conventions of both horror and comedy meant we were able to incorporate elements from both genres into the narrative, tone, and overall presentation of the film . Horror Theme of good vs. evil We have included a theme of good vs. evil which is something that can resonate with the audience as it is well known. This adds some depth to the narrative, including the creation of suspenseful situations. Isolated woods setting Having our film set in an isolated woods adds some natural tension. It being secluded adds to the vulnerability for the characters and limits possible escape routes. Props The use of props, such as a scary mask and a fake knife as a potential threat, creates an impactful and memorable anta...

Treatment Genre & Conventions For our short film we have chosen to make a film parodying a horror slasher film. Based on this we will be following similar conventions found in a slasher film like Halloween and Scream. We will be using a silent killer a theme that is common in slasher films as it is supposed to make them a tense character. In our case though they will be more of a joke unable to kill their victims. We will also use camera and editing techniques to create jump scares which would usually scare the audience but in our case are supposed to be funny. Production Schedule Location Recce Risk Assessment Contingency One of the biggest reasons we needed  a contingency plan was due to possible weather conditions, because we can plan a shoot but we can't predict the weather. In the event of this we would come back another day to reshoot if the weather was too poor e.g. rain, wind etc. Another reason we needed a contingency plan was for unforeseen circumstances such as a cre...
